Heroic games won't update any games
Today I've tried to update Fall Guys, but Heroic cancels it after progressing through 0%

Please include Heroic's log file as described in the FAQ (#:pushpin: Read Me First | Frequently Asked Questions)

That's the game's log file, not the general Heroic log (which is required in this case)

oh okay

Alright, there we go
According to that log, what exactly happened when updating the game is stored in this other log file:
/home/auser/.var/app/com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl/config/heroic/GamesConfig/0a2d9f6403244d12969e11da6713137b.log

When installing the game, where did you install it to?

to an external hard drive
tbh in the same of my installation but in a diferent partition
That was my suspicion, those can be problematic with the Flatpak version of Heroic (what you're using there)
Do you know the mount point (exact path) of that hard drive/partition?

yes. /mnt/hddhcp
the game path is at /mnt/hddhcp/Games/Linux/FallGuys
tbh, is it common to the path be /run/user/1000/doc/16b276a5/Linux/FallGuys?
Right, that's your issue then. Heroic does not have access to this path by default, so when installing it, you essentially gave it temporary access (which is now no longer granted)
- Uninstall the game from Heroic (it won't actually remove your game files)
- Use Flatseal (or the Flatpak command line if you're comfortable with it) to grant Heroic access to
/mnt/hddhcp
- Import the game, then verify-and-repair it (3-dot menu in the top-right of the game page)conscious-sapphireOP•3y ago
i see
should i remove the prefix?
Prefix is unrelated, you can keep it (or delete it, doesn't really matter for this game)
To clarify: Your Wineprefix stores configuration data and save files for this one game. Since Fall Guys pulls all of its data from the cloud when launching it, keeping/deleting the prefix doesn't matter

still, what about winetricks for example

i've found out that the issue was that the partition where the game was stored was acting like readonly for some reason. the issue was fixed, but now i get this error
Could you confirm that the same issue also happens if the game isn't stored on this additional partition?

no
