V-Minion Y axis chattering, not homing

Hi all, my V-Minion has been flawless since I got the firmware to load properly (thanks for that!) But tonight it has started failing to home the Y axis entirely. I didn't change anything, the endstop triggers properly in Klipper when I query it, but it vibrates like the belt is skipping and alternates between the 'no trigger on Y after full movement' and 'y triggered after movement' (or something to that effect) as though it thinks it is somewhere in the travel that it isn't. I tightened the belt, I loosened the belt, I homed it from the front and from the rearmost positions- none of it changes. The pulley is tight on the motor, so that isn't slipping. The belt isn't slipping, it's like the motor is just vibrating instead of moving for the most part. Am I missing something simple? It isn't chattering when the bed is up against a stop and trying to move anyway, it's just doing it every time it tries to move from any position along the rail regardless of belt tension. I took one part off the print bed and hit reprint to make another one, and it won't home that axis anymore. The previous print came out perfectly. I checked the motion with steppers disabled, and there are no points where it binds or anything.

I would double check your wiring connections to that motor

Watching my video, I can see that the motor isn't actually spinning at first, just stuttering. Easier to see on screen than in person. Wiring checks good, solid plug-in at both ends, no damaged wires

Ok, next I would check the stepper driver. Try moving the Y one and see if the issue follows. Same with the y wiring

I'll swap with the X when I get home today, fortunately those harnesses are WAY longer than the rest of the wiring in the kit 🤣 Thanks! After swapping the X and Y stepper drivers, the X started doing it instead. Fortunately I have a bin full of random parts, and I had an older BTT board in there that I scavenged one from. All is working again, guess I got a bad one. 🙂 Thanks, as always!
