ABS Layer Adhesion
Hello,
I am trying to print ABS on my Minion.
It is "Nice ABS" from 3D Jake.
First Layer is great and sticks to the bed as hell.
Tuned Extrusion factor (Multiplier) as well and printed some Parts. They are looking quite good.
BUT I recognized that the layer adhesion is bad at some parts.
On the picture you see printed parts for an IEC.
The walls of the lid are not sticking to the bottom. I can seperate them with mit fingers.
So I started to print a temperature Cube starting from 265°C ending at 220°.
I printed with different fan speeds from 40% down to 0%.
But at every temperature section, I can break the layers easily with my fingernail.
Some more facts:
- bed temperature 100°C
- speed 100 mm/s
- printer is enclosed (Ikea Lack, temperature inside 30°C)
- Nozzle 0.4 mm
- line width 0.45mm (internal and external perimeter)

afaik, printing ABS it's reccomended the temp inside is closer to 60c, though having it even at 30 is better than any drafts, if you can get the temp up i'd do that and give it a go
