AV1 video track doesn't show up in Adobe Premiere :(
My editor is having an issue getting the video portion of this AV1 file to show up in Adobe Premiere Pro 14.4.0 (Build 38)
This is the information that I got from mediainfo about the file: (there is some audio tracks after this, but I think this is the important part)
This happens with both 12.2 and 13beta1.
Is there a configuration that he might be missing?
I am starting to think it might be a recording setting in OBS?
any assistance or guidance would be GREATLY appreciated ❤️

Premiere doesn’t support AV1 yet AFAIK
The Voukoder plugin adds export support but idk if it’ll help with import
The audio is just normal AAC so that’s why it still reads it.
dang 😦
GG @striderstone, you just advanced to level 1 !
Good to know.

Currently I will disagree with you.
Streaming/recording 1440p 5 days a week and then scrubbing through the vods having ~5-14 vods stored locally until done and moved to drive takes up a TON of space.
moving to AV1 was less space on local drive >> less space on google drive >> less time uploading to drive >> less time for my editor to download files >> less time for him to upload to youtube.
I was missing a TON, you are entitled to your opinion though. Different for everyone's situation

hmmmm
my old videos were a WAY bigger size, talking 14gb down to 6GB with using HIGHER quality. Maybe I was just doing a ton of stuff wrong

This is what I am currently running but it sounds like I am doing something incorrectly now.
my editor already moved over to davinci and he seems to like it. the rendering is a little faster for him I guess.
I'd turn of Psycho for recording
but you're not doing anything wrong
i mean, if they're alsready in resolve there's no point in switching away from AV1 lol

yeah, they are in resolve now making the switch
I looked ALL OVER THE PLACE, I still have no idea what "CQ Level" is

it's just a quality target
1-60 usually, though that has expanded
And the AV1 CQ number is actually multiplied by 4 afaik

does that mean
lower number = better quality
lol is there something I should not go under?

Playing Magic the Gathering Arena mainly. Gotta have that high frame rate card action. VERY demanding!
You think this would be ok to test with then?
I never had
look-ahead
enabled or Psycho Visual Tuning
off, so that will be interesting to see the differences if there is much.GG @striderstone, you just advanced to level 2 !

went above 6000 bitrate for the memes. it seems to actually reflect it in the video stats when I look at it

I thought twitch "maxed" out at 6
even though it's using the AWS CDN, I thought there was some sort of a restriction.
I guess if there is a higher bitrate and some checks for it to make sure it's smoother.
(I am partner if that means anything)

yeah that's the only reason amazon would be interested in Twitch. I'm pretty sure Bezos isn't a secret pro gamer or anything. haha
at least it's quality tech for the most part
thanks for the help. I'll give this a try tonight.
I personally run 7800 because A)amd encoder poo and B)it works. Has for me for years 😉
