Can't login with Epic Games
whenever I login with epic games after I log in, it just brings me back to the sign in screen.

which macos version are you using? you need macos 11.7 at least for the epic stuff to work (though legendary's readme says macos 12 so maybe some things don't work with 11.7 either)

that's it then, we use legendary in the background to do all the epic stuff

yes, in settings > advanced there's an option to use alternative versions of the legendary binary file

I guess you can try older releases from https://github.com/derrod/legendary/releases but I can't ensure that it will work

@Nuttella any problems with updating your system though? We can only support macOS from monterrey and up. What you are doing might work but you might have other issues as well. For instance, the wine version that you can download through heroic won't work on older versions of macOS, also by using an old legendary version you might have other issues as well and it might not work as well
Ideally update your system to monterrey or ventura so you will have better chances of playing without much issues

@Nuttella you have to pick the binary using that, but like I said, I don't use that and I don't even know if it will work, you are using an old os version that legendary does not support so using older binaries may break other things, you are walking on unsupported territory

what was the last heroic version supported on OSX 10.15?

heroic itself does not have an osx restriction, it's legendary
keep in mind that epic changes things over time and legendary adds fixes for that, if you go back in time for legendary you'll most likely have issues
anything older than september 2022 will fail for sure since epic changed its login logic and legendary was updated to work with the new logic and I see by that time it already had macos 12+ as a requirement https://github.com/derrod/legendary/tree/88d30322b55841cbc83e317bdfc95448dff14b23
I don't think you'll find a legendary version that works on 10.15 that is compatible with the current epic login

I don't know, but I can see on the sourcecode that 2 years ago it started to build with macos-11 https://github.com/derrod/legendary/commit/42d737a301d0c8ca5a9fc1019a71a4abc0513f38 so I imagine the version with a release date before that date

one thing you could try if you really want to go down that rabbit hole, is to clone the project and try to compile it for mac 10.15 but you'll be in very unsupported territory there

oh yea @arieljuod whenevr I run the legendary, it gives cmd u sure it can standalone?
however how come heroic supported 10.15 before?

currently the heroic readme is incorrect, it says it supports 10.15 but that information is outdated (this will change when my pull request gets merged)
at some point legendary did work on macos 10.15 so heroic had the same support, 12+ wasn't always required and the readme was not updated since that time
not sure what you mean it gives cmd, legendary is a command line tool
you use it through the command line
I'd recommend joining the legendary discord if you have more questions specific to legendary though, I'll probably find better support there (there's a link to that discord in the github repo)

so I asked with legendary what was the last ver that supported 10.15 they said the first macos supported was 11, u sure they used legendary with heroic before?
