Android app does not recognize uploade picture
It looks like Android does not always recognize the pictures taken on the phone are uploaded to immich.
Yesterday I took some pictures that uploaded correctly but still appeared to be only local. Making it impossible to add them to an album. When checking the web client they did upload correctly.
This morning it seems the app has recognized the uploaded files.
Making a few other pictures and checking them there is now one that is not recognized as uploaded.

They might be uploaded, but thumbnail just hasn't. Maybe try to rerun the thumbnail generation job?
I did but they show op in the browser and none is missing.
The app still insists the picture is only local.
Ah, you mean the bottle picture.
Indeed. Yesterday there where more but today the app seems to understand they are uploaded 🙂
It happened since v1.51. so I would thing it has something to do with the caching to make the app work offline
I believe there are some bugs that we need to resolve for this mechanism
No problem; New features tend to have some challenges.
It looks like this happens when the pictures are uploaded with the background process
@zody Another potential data point here
thanks for the info!
@Appie could you try to logout and login in the app and check whether the "bottle image" is now correctly shown as backed up?
I can, and just did. Unfortunately no.
thanks for checking! I had high hopes for this. because all other images are matched..
Can you share the app log?
How do I get that one?
it should be in the profile drawer
you can take a screenshort or export the log
That was a little obvious 🙂
Those
SyncService
warning message probably reason for the mismatch
