Android app not showing server pictures
i just updated to new version on server and android app. I retarted app nothing popped up regarding migration, i did see the new Beta icon. I restarted app again, now it said migration. Once that finished i restarted again. Now it shows green connection, Server and Client up to date, but it's showing only local phone pictures, all with the crossed out cloud icon. It is not showing any server pictures. If I use the browser version, all the server pictures are showing up.
What do?

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close
command, and re-open it later if needed.Same problem for me!
Can you logout, log back in and see if that shows the remote assets for both of you?
that did the trick, thank you!!!
By any chance, have you tried the beta before but switched back to the old timeline?
nope, never tried beta
I see, Thanks!
@Zaycom Before logging out, Can you close the app, reopen it and share the mobile app logs?
You can also go into settings -> sync status -> scroll all the way down -> tap the sync remote button. Wait for it to complete before sharing the logs as well
Trying to collect info as to why the remote sync was not working.
@tippa Can you export and share your mobile app logs as well?
There are no logs from prior to the login
After closing the app
After remote sync request
Have you ever tried the beta before?
Also, does re-logging fix the issue in your case as well?
First time with the beta, I always updated via the play store. So is Immich officially rolling the beta on the play store?
Anyway the re-logging fixed the issue to me as well! The backup was deactivated, I had to reactivate
Same problem here. I've never used the beta timeline before.
After updating to the new version via Playstore on Android 15
My Logs after the re login. Now everything is there.
Thanks for testing! We'll address this soon
Thx for your work so far! Immich is a very nice app and I love to use it.
Are these from before? Can you see your remote assets now?
After the Update all my cache of the pictures are deleted so it has to recache all my pictures again. Is this intended?
The local cache on device you mean?
If so, Yes, the beta timeline uses a different pipeline for rendering the thumbnails which is much efficient than the older ones
This is the logs after the re login. Like 10 minutes scrolling through immich. After the re login everything was there but some errors occurred in the logs.
Yes. The local cache on my phone.
Alr. Thx for your answer.
There is already an improvement after switching to the beta timeline and the migration of the database. Now, my pictures are loading really fast. That's great.
I've reopened the 3 times and scrolled 3 times through my whole gallery (like 30 GiB). I deleted and viewed pictures or watched some videos. While that, some flutter errors occurred in the logs. At the same time while the errors where thrown, some previews of the pictures don't load. But if I clicked in a picture and saw it in full size everything seems to be normal.
I was having the same issue. Relogging fixed it for me too
I have the same problem. As an alternative to logging out/in, you can also disable the beta timeline.
Yes, but please do give the beta timeline a try 😅
guess i am not alone
give me a panic, had to check on web just to make sure other stuff still there
i think i did mess it up though
i saw the running migration screen
it didn't say it was doing stuff or what it was doing
let it do that in the background for way too long and coming back to see the same thing so i decide to do what any user would, kill it and try again
ok yeah seems like relogin fixed it
Same here, do you need more logs to debug it or can I just relog?@shenlong-tanwen
relog is fine we think we know what happaned
