Load previous save games from epic games launcher for games imported to Heroic

I previously installed epic games launcher on my steam deck and installed a game through there. I got heroic games launcher set up and imported the previously installed game but now when I play it my save file is not loaded and I have to create a new one. Is there any way to get the game to load my old save when using heroic game launcher?
