I believe I overcame this issue by editing the default template, removing all html and just keeping the body handlebars variable
You mean the default layout?
Ah sorry, my bad. Yes I think so
You could also create a new layout with just body and keep the default one in case you want it in the future
I think the template had variables for the brand logo as well, removing just those would also work
