can you post the complete log as a file or link to pastebin.com?
fair-roseOP•3y ago
Pastebin

Pastebin.com is the number one paste tool since 2002. Pastebin is a website where you can store text online for a set period of time.

the game log. it's stored at
/home/Levinter/.config/heroic/GamesConfig/hMZPR4ZmXBnvKURGYKRT1G-lastPlay.log
or you can access it with the "Report a problem" link under the big Play Now buttonfair-roseOP•3y ago

fair-roseOP•3y ago

stormy-gold•3y ago

from what I see here, I'd rather just run the Windows build with Wine instead
fair-roseOP•3y ago
thats weird, i played the game not long ago on the linux build
fair-rose•3y ago
your libs might have updated and the game wasnt built against those libs
fair-roseOP•3y ago
damn, i have a couple of other games with the same problem
kinda ironic having to run these game on the Windows build ends up being better
fair-rose•3y ago
its because game devs dont continue updating their packages for updates in depending libs
so you either need a local copy of the ones required to run the game, or use windows builds
and since games are usually not open source, folks cant update the games themselves
stormy-gold•3y ago
on some ports, the Linux build exists to check a box but that's about it
I'm looking at you, Life Is Strange - using more processing power and energy than Elden Ring
fair-rose•3y ago
it does say it in the title
it is strange
fair-roseOP•3y ago
yes, indeed
