GtaV not detecting controller input
I installed gtaV using epic games account with default settings, game launches fine and works fine other than for some reason I cant use gamepad controls, it just does not detect any input. I tried to use keyboard input and it works but its really unusable for game play. I also checked gamepad setting and I didn't saw there gamepad calibration option it seems to me it does not even detect that I have gamepad. I'm not sure if its Decks issue or gtaV issue or Heroic Games Launcher issue.

Do you play it in Gaming Mode or in Desktop mode?
and witch Proton do you use?

OP is using Proton 7. the logs seem to be not including configuration information lately
I loaded up GTAV yesterday with Wine-GE and had full controller access in game mode with no problems

try with "Wine-GE-Proton7-41" maybe it will then work

Got the same problem, but when I switch to 7.41 I have to login to social club again, but I cant type anything into the login fields.
When I click on the fields it does not show a highlighted field, nor can I see letters when typing with the keyboard.

@Syrael try installing
corefonts using winetricks, I've seen issues with fields not working due to missing fonts
if you still have problems create a separate question for your problem, this is about controllers not working and yours is about not being able to type with the keyboardambitious-aqua•3y ago
