Albums on Device ---> Albums on Server?
I just began using Immich (docker compose server & Android App).
Open Android App, selected a handful of "Albums" to backup. It backs them up. Then I go to Web Server, I see my photos. Yay!
Then I go to Albums on Web Server.....No albums were created. Its blank here. Hmmm......
I expected Immich Web Server to create/mirror the Albums from my Android device. Is that not how it works?

Its strange that Immich Android App basically automatically declared any folder with photos in it an "Album" yet when I backup these Albums, the Web Server doesn't also declare them Albums
The albums referenced in that section of the app are the albums on your phone, same as displayed in the native gallery app. Those aren't mirrored into immich, they're just used to select which files to upload
So there is no way to have album information sent from Mobile --> Server?
Not yet, but there is an open feature request
And every time a photo gets backed up to Immich, I'll have to manually sort it into the desired Album in the Web Server?
For now, yes
Ok, thank you for the quick answers 🙂
If it helps, I'll thumbs up the open feature request if you link it
This might be the one I created last month? Or is there another Feature request?
