Manta M8P external Mosfet

Hi i was wanting to use an external Mosfet for my bed seeing I have heard of some burning the board. I had already used this setup on another printer RepRap. I connected the HE1 to the control on the Mosfet trigger it. Can someone please help where would I need to setup the VBB and PB5. thanks

https://os.ratrig.com/docs/boards/btt/manta-m8p-11#wiring instead of hooking up directly to bed you would hook up the bed out to your SSR or mosfet

I have the power to the in of the mosfet and the out of the mosfet to the bed. Then I have the control on the mosfet which was connected to the board which would trigger on and off. As per the wiring as in your link the power passes through the board which i didn't want to risk burning the board. I know that through the board it works. Seeing your avalable i also am getting the error for the motors, does it mean the wiring is wrong? Unable to read tmc uart 'extruder' register IFCNT. Thanks

draw a diagram of what you want to do, because by your description it doesn't make sense to me. Let's stick to the mosfet for now and if you are still having issues with your driver later we can start a new post

on the mosfet the bottom is from the power supply the top go to the bed. the white wires go to the control. I had it this way on my duet2 wifi.

I was hoping to trigger it using HE1 On the Duet it was connected to the heater output which wouldn trigger the control. Problem is on the Manta there is no Power out on the Bed Out seein there is no bed power in.

you can control it via a heater port too - just need to change the config to match
[heater_bed]
heater_pin: PB5
