running game launcher on iGPU and game on dGPU

is it possible to run the launcher of a game, for example rockstar games launcher, on the iGPU, and the game itself on the dGPU? my issue is that my dGPU only has 4 gb of vram, and while thats mostly enough, rockstar games launcher and its other programs take up around 1.3gb or something. so it would be nice to offload that to my iGPU to be able to utilize the full potential of my dGPU (not only in heroic but other launchers as well, like lutris)

Are you perhaps confusing system RAM with VRAM? A launcher is a few images, it shouldn't be eating VRAM like that. secondly, unless there has been some big change with how laptop GPUs work, you're not splitting workloads across iGPU and dGPU in the way you're thinking of.

definitely not confusing it looking into nvidia-smi, it uses like 1.3 gb (rgl, rgl helper) I dont mean splitting the games workload on the two gpus, just the launcher on the igpu and the game on the dgpu

using this as proof that I did not mix up vram with ram I got as far as to run rgl on steams wine prefix with its proton all via lutris and it actually detecting rdr2, but I cant seem to launch rdr2 from steam now it just tries to launch via rgl which is obviously already running so theres an issue trying to run rdr2 manually from lutris also doesnt work
