Problem with Galatea PCB
Hey, so I just soldered my galatea pcb for my f1 722 but I encountered some problems when testing keys. First off my f1 key doesn't register when I press them. I think the pcb is set to an f13 layout and I don't know how to change it. Also when I press esc the k key also triggers and sticks even after done pressing. It only happens once when I press the esc not every single time but the k key always sticks when I press the k key itself. Lastly I press the alt key on the right side of the space bar and it triggers the windows key right next to it. I tried different cables and checked and all the diodes on the pcb are there. I haven't flashed the pcb and I'm wondering if I have to and if so then how? And I was wondering if it was a poor soldering job because this was my first solder pcb. Sorry for the long post but thank you for even checking!

it might be helpful to post a pic of your soldering job! just to make sure π
I'll try to post it early tomorrow when I can!
I know the bottom left looks really bad but on the key tester it works fine. Is there anything I have to do in terms of Qmk for the galatea pcb or should it work straight out the box?
oh it works in key tester? did you try reseting the pcb
otherwise you can try reflashing with this hex file

yeah so my 2 main problems are 1. my k key keeps registering/ pushed down even when Im not touching it and that my pcb thinks its a f13 with 6.25 space bar layout and not a f12 with a 7.0 layout like I have it
Ima gonna try flashing it and hope that solves it
alright so I just flashed the pcb twice and it didn't change anything still having all the same issues from before
layout can be edited in configure > layouts > top row
what is the configure page looking like?
also some points in general:
- your rsft isnt soldered
- a key, s key, lsft key, c key look like they dont have enough solder
yeah so I went back earlier today to resolder a bunch of points so they all look a lot better now and I tried to configure the settings also but still no luck. I just want to say thanks for all the help you have given regardless!
though maybe I should add, I loaded the json file too to see if that would do anything but also no difference.
hm maybe @kbye can help?
would it be a good idea to dm them?
sure why not
hey I dont know if you care but I fixed my problem. The k key had a bad switch and on the via I just had to use the basic mapping function to get it right. So sorry for making this extremely overcomplicated but thank you so much once again for all your help!
NICE!!!
glad its resolved
yup time to put this thing altogether now!
