Heroic Launcher games added to steam library
I am having issues opening games that I have added to steam library on steam deck. The game opens fine on the heroic Launcher but that means I have to open it with desktop mode only. Any tips? #🆘-support

Make sure to close heroic before starting games via steam

Already did but when I click play either in steam(on desktop mode) or on game mode it just doesn't run and says play again a few seconds after

Give new log
The first log was about that heroic already was running

The log does not show any log where you started a game via steam

This is the latest log on heroic, since I ran the launch option in Konsole it does not show the correct info

Just start the gane via steam
Afterwards start heroic normal and get the old (not current) log of heroic from the settings and the gamelogs of the game aswell. As i said check the read me first post how to get this logs

I have the same problem I can install and make a prefix folder. I can test and play in desktop mode but when I click add to steam it spins and doesn't add to steam just spins. I was told by a member there its a problem is steam os. Just hope it gets fixed asap.

Still not working for me. I was on steamos beta. Now on stable. I tried last night 9.30pm gmt. Still the same.

I've been having the same issues. Kao the Kangaroo will run when opened through the Heroic Launcher, but on Steam, nothing shows up and after 2-3 seconds, the action button reverts from "running" back to "play"

My apologies for not reading the post properly. I'm also not sure whether this counts as a heroic or game issue (as the game technically doesn't start) so I've attached both the current and last log.

Unusual update. I noticed that Heroic wasn't registering that the game was added to steam (even though I had already clicked the option). For some reason adding the game twice works, but adding one (when there are no other instances of Kao in the steam library) doesnt

Use wine-ge instead proton-ge
Enable dxvk and vkd3d in the game settings
You can get wine-ge from our wine manager
