Fortnite DX12, launcher, and in-game issues
I installed fortnite on heroic launcher (windows) and im getting three issues:
1. DX12 is not enabled and can't be enabled (though I may need to update graphics drivers to fix it.).
2. The time played icon on the launcher keeps saying "never".
3. Voice chat and text chat won't work in the game.
Are there any fixes for these?

First is known
Easiest way to fix first is to install from official launcher and import to heroic
Files can also be copied manually but idk how
Sorry about these bugs, I think heroic windows has more bugs generally as there are less users.
1.
DX12 will only work if you've selected the
br_sm6
SDL tag
If you haven't selected it, you can re-choose your tags by opening up a CMD window and running "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\heroic\resources\app.asar.unpacked\build\bin\win32\legendary" repair Fortnite --reset-sdl
2.
Playtime tracking not working is sadly expected behavior on Windows. When launching games from Epic, Heroic launches a command-line program called Legendary, which then actually launches the game executable. To track play time, Heroic waits for Legendary and all sub-processes it spawned to exit, but this simply doesn't work on Windows (always reporting that everything exitted, even if your game is still running).
We've had discussions about how we could fix this in the past, but nothing ever came of that as far as I know (mostly because, as @QuadRadical (Ping on reply) noted, our Windows userbase is rather small & no-one on our team primarily uses Windows)

No idea about that one honestly. You might have to install the EOS Overlay (found in the "Advanced" section of Heroic's global settings)metropolitan-bronzeOP•3y ago
for the first one, it says system cannot find the path specified.
under
\AppData\Roaming\heroic
there is no folder named "resources"Hmm, are you using Heroic's portable version perhaps?
The path to Legendary should also be in one of the first few lines in Heroic's general log. Copy-paste that into CMD (might have to add quotes if the path contains spaces), followed by
repair Fortnite --reset-sdl

no I am pretty sure I downloaded the regular windows version. how can I view the log?
"Settings" tab in the sidebar -> "Log" sub-tab
Might have to scroll up a bit

ok I'm seeing the resources folder now from the log. strange, your original post is the right location but command line didn't like it.
%LOCALAPPDATA%
is C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local
, not Roaming

Hmm, what does
echo %LOCALAPPDATA%
say?metropolitan-bronzeOP•3y ago
"computer" is not the local account I have it installed to.
(I always have multiple local accounts on my PC)

Have you tried this in a non-administrator CMD as well?
It should set the correct path there

you're right, non administrator command line worked.

its repairing now. regarding voice chat, the settings for heroic says that EOS overlay is installed.
