Loading indicator

In Nuxt 2 I was able to programmatically start the loading indicator with this.$nuxt.$loading.start() and finish with this.$nuxt.$loading.finish()
Is there an equivalent way in Nuxt 3?
I have the <NuxtLoadingIndicator /> in my app.vue
