Wrong Y-Axis movement on V-Core 3.1 Standard Kit 1.3 (300)
Dear Community,
I assembled my V-Core 3.1 300mm from the standard kit. Overall it brings a good experience and comes together real nice. In initial tests I found out the Y-Axis movement is wrong, the head goes into a diagonal movement to the left, if I move it backwards. In reverse when I move the head forwards, the head goes into a diagonal movement to the right. How can i solve this? Is this related to belt tension? Is there a configuration based fix I can apply? Thanks for your feedback.
Best regards,
Kai

If your head is moving diagonally when doing Y movements your belt is binding somewhere or your X axis is skewed.

Both belts move up and down on movement. And there is a change in resistance which I can feel as I move the head manually. Might it help to install the FMMM mod?
that mod will help you see what is happening, but it won't magically fix a mechanical issue

I see. Is there a known fix on the belt up-and-down movement issue? I experience this no matter of the tension
I found the problem and solved it. It was homemade. I swapped the belts that came with it for different ones by taping the old one and the new one together with duct tape. This allowed me to easily thread the new belt in. In the process, a piece of tape came loose in the right motor housing and wrapped around the sprocket. Yesterday I removed the right motor and found the tape remnant. I removed it, reinstalled the motor and now the head runs absolutely precise.
