Borderlands 3 - can't watch monitor bug!

I'm trying to play BL3 on my Steam deck but am getting the classic bug where I can't watch the monitor at the start of chapter two. Is there an easy fix for this bug? I'm using Proton GE 7 -43. Thanks!
