HEIC images not uploading
iOS app version: 1.66.0 build.106
Server Version: 1.67.1 (recently upgraded after not using it for ~5 months).
Seeing lots of failed messages on the iOS app. HEIC mainly, but also two jpgs.
From the server console:
Attached photo shows the iOS errors.

Please make sure the app and server are on the same version and then see if you still have this issue
Nothing newer appears to be available on the app store - how should I go about doing this? Downgrade my server version?
Ah, could be that apple hasn't approved it yet. Hmmm
#bleedingedgeissues
any chance my database is too old and i need to start over? (seems unlikely)
also i'll note that video files uploaded successfully
is there still a TestFlight link that works? I'm very motivated to get my photos backed up before this trip !
This is an issue should be fixed once the ios app is on 1.67
is rolling back the server dangerous at all?
Not if you have backups 😛
yeah well
Pretty strange here, I tried 1.66 to upload HEIC file and it works with 1.67 server
After you changed it back to
mimeType.isVideo
?
It's not a video until it is sent with the .mov file extension. We could also roll that back if the ios update is taking awhile and you're going to do another hot fix release anyways.Ah this probably related to LivePhotos
it should be released today so we don't have to roll it back
Yeah the video isn't a video with the .HEIC extension
yeah downgrading server didn't seem like the answer, for those curious.
ERROR [AssetService] Error uploading file QueryFailedError: column "mimeType" of relation "assets" does not exist
The update should be available in a few hours
Roger that. waits patiently for Apple 🙂
