Booting into GRUB recovery after install
Just what the title says. I installed Blend with dualboot as I would with any other distro, but the only thing that comes up is the rescue shell.
Tried reinstalling grub,
grub-install told me that it can't find the canonical path of /boot/efi. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.10 Replies

No BIOS or grub2 entry after install ¡ Issue #68 ¡ blend-os/blendOS
I have been trying to install the KDE version for 2 days now. Installation says it completed successfully but after reboot it doesn't show up anywhere. Not in the BIOS boot sequence and not in ...

maybe because the distro is immutable
and did you run grub-install from the livecd or a chroot?
because the livecd is loaded into RAM, so /boot/efi has no canonical path from there
chroot
obviously, I wouldn't try it outside the system
installed with Jade, didn't work
so I wiped everything again, installed with Jade, went into the terminal, chroot into /mnt and tried to install grub, which didn't work
one thing I haven't tried is grub-mkconfig but idk if that would work when it doesn't even boot properly into grub
would it be possible that it fixes it?
okay well i need a usable pc so i went back to nixos đ
Solution
When mj e broke I just did sudo grub-install and it fixed it for me.
