PI have changed the grip type to winwing and plugged in my adapter but it doesn't seem to pick up the grip that is plugged in, I tried applying, store, unplug USB, plug back in, power up etc, but not seeing a result ?
Panything else I should be doing to swap over ?
PI have previously used my Virpil and Thrustmaster grips without issue ?
PFor reference I am trying to use the F16-EX grip, if that makes a difference
WCan you change the grip type to Generic (Debug) and grab a screenshot of the Debug tab messages window while it's plugged in?
Pdo I need to change to that, then power off, close program, restart etc before taking that pic mate ?

Pthe EX has that little addon bit you bolt on the side, then plug in an extra cable
Pits possible its nipped the wire as I tightened the extension maybe

WDoes the WW grip connector have a good mate with the adapter? I've found sometimes you need to push it a bit for it to make proper contact

Por could I bypass the adapter with an extended thrustmaster lead extender direct to the WW grip ?
Pok I think I have some life here, but only I really push the adapter into the WW connection overly firmly
PI can see button 1 and 7 illuminates if I really push the connections together manually really super firmly

Pseems possible the socket isn't making a firm contact with "something" ??
Pcould it be the earth shield ? ring around the outside of the socket might benefit being crimped ever so slightly under pressure ?? the socket is quite loose compared to the others ?
PI don't mean going ham fisted, just a gentle squeeze to tighten connection ?
Wnah, that is unused, only 3 pins are used on the connector
Phmm - IDK then, it seems to work if you push the 2 parts together really firmly ?
WWell, trying here, I need to push it pretty tight with a little nudging to the sides to make it fully seated
Plet me get my needle nose pliers so I can make sure I am getting fully inserted (just so I can hold steady the plug in bottom of grip)

Pok i found the problem here mate
PI disassembled the adapter, so I could see how it was fitting the grip plug inside .......the adapter doesn't grip the socket tightly enough, so the connection only connects when you constantly apply some force to the 2 parts to hold them together, unlike the other end of the adapter which stays connected to the other end naturally.

Pyour observation of the 2 parts needing to be firmly seated was entirely correct, just the socket for some reason don't hold the parts together to maintain that connection
WThose circular female pins are probably in too deep, I've found it's possible to push them into the connector with a soldering iron. But if you're not up to tinkering I can mail you a new inner part
