My iPhone's photo upload speed is very slow And the original live photo effects are all gone

Is this about my iphone set? I believe many people, like me, have chosen to look for a privately-deployed app because they can't stand cloud services like iCloud. And these people might have iPhone settings similar to mine. So, if it's an issue with the iPhone settings, is there a better solution? - My upload speed: I started backing up last night, and only 100 photos were backed up by this morning - My iPhone photo settings: iCloud Photo is turned on, Optimize iPhone Storage setting is turned on - iOS version: 16.1, iPhone model: XR.

1. Background upload is meant for incremental backing up, for initial backup I suggest you use foreground backup and leave the app open. 2. Can you choose the LivePhotos album as the selected album for backup and try backing up those and see if they have the video portion uploaded as well. I know there were some reported issue with iPhone XR

Did you have some assets uploadded using the CLI already?

The number of backups has not changed. yes

And some of the assets that backup from the CLI are already on the phone, correct?

Then this is normal, if you check the second box, the "Total" box, you will see the number changes. The remainder doesn't change because of the deduplication mechanism

For upload speed, are you on 5GHz band of your WIFI? staying closer to the access point would also help with the upload speed

wifi yes,

is that all for the logs? this is from docker logs immich_postgres correct? For WIFI there are 2 bands, 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, 5Ghz gives greater bandwidth in exchanged for lower range

Ah so the issue is from the mobile app I think it might have been from using iCloud and with optimized storaged turned on

I was thinking the same thing, is there a solution?

The solution is to turn them off as far as I know I think turn off optimized storage might help

If I turn it off, my phone's memory might explode. My phone can't store so many photos locally.
