Rocket League doesn't respect my language when added to Steam and launched from there
I have tried different methods of setting the language for the game, but I couldn't figure it out. It should be set to German, which works from within Heroic, but launching it from Steam, it doesn't respect that preference and runs in English. Could someone help me with this?

in heroic, in the game settings go to advanced > Game arguments > set the value

Global Setting in heroic an Game argument changed to de/deu. In Desktop Mode it works.In Game Mode it is eng again. Have to say it is on steam deck. If i launch the game through steam on desktop mode it works too. Only on deck mode it will use english.

you can run in game mode then go back to desktop mode and that should be log you see in settings > logs > rocket league

you are setting the
preferred language configuration, you are not adding a -language=DEU Game Argument
do exactly this:
- game settings
- advanced
- in Game Arguments put -language=DEU

the option with the game argument is the official way to do that based on the epic support, the other one might works but it's not the best option since it's not the documented way

it's kinda hard to find though, they didn't do a good job with that (it should just be a game configuration, but I guess they were lazy haha)
