Best approach to compiling and installing an application?
Whats the correct approach to installing a compiled app, im trying to compile emacs. I tried installing inside a container it tells me that a path in /usr/local/share is read only and installing outside the container I lack the ability to get libgccjit because that has a conflict within pacman? (Sorry for the duplicate post on telegram too this seemed like a better place)
So i tried installing not in a container again, resolving the conflict in pacman tho i wish pacman -Fy was avalible to me so i could better resolve conflicts like that. And trying to do sudo make install i ran into a simmilar but slightly diffrent error regarding /usr/local/share/info being a read only filesystem
