what are the differences between these 2 fits
Dumb question maybe but I was thinking of trying to go for a similar kind of vibe as in the attached pic but I'm feeling like if I go for it, I'll end up looking like this guy (no offense to him ofc I'm not saying he looks worse but it's not what I'm going for) https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1131638836485697617/1134710388005543976 (it's kind of the same style right?). So my question is what differs these 2 fits? The items seem kinda the same other than the shoes, however the look ends up being quite different, and I want to look closer to the attached pic, so is it the fit of the pants/shirt, or maybe just different body proportions? I can't tell

The main difference I see is that the silhouette/details of the clothing in these is different. In the example with the pants the shirt fits intentionally oversized with a drop shoulder and wider sleeves. The high waist on the pants with the pleats as well makes a very different shape than in the shorts example. The shoes also are a more unusual choice with the velcro which adds another layer of interest as well.
Everything fits each of the people wearing these well, the difference is in the design details in the clothing items. In the pants photo the clothing is intentionally made to fit a little differently than the "standard" fit, which results in the fit having a different mood even while still being a fairly simple and straightforward outfit.
I'd definitely be looking for interesting shapes in your clothing to push closer to this pant fit. Higher rise pants, pants with big pleats and a taper, or a lot of width or structure, shirts that are oversized or have big collars or big sleeves all seem like some good places to start.

I’ll add that fabrics and color palette also add a lot - the black/beige palette and lack of texture in the attached fit give it a super-modern vibe that evoke things Fear of God or early Acne Studios. Whereas the outfit-feedback fit uses highly texture corduroy and Oxford, as well as an earthy palette, to invoke a much more traditional tailoring / Americans look
Agree with the above :) while mine was going for a different look obviously, I think mine has a bit of incongruity with the wider bottoms and more fitted top, which threw off the silhouette a bit. That plus the texture are the main differences imo
