Fysetc Spider V1.1 Firmware Challenges

Hello! I'm Justin from Intermode. We are currently trying to upgrade one of our older printers to use RatOS but I am running into an issue where I am unable to have the Rasp Pi detect the Fysetc Spider board. I have manually flashed the Spider as per the direction shown. I have also tried multiple usb cables as we have had bad ones in the past that caused similar issues. I have never used a Fysetc board before so I am unsure if there is something I may be missing.

How did you verify that it flashed the firmware onto the spider board?

I powered off the spider board and removed the SD card and it had changed the .bin file from firmware.bin to OLD.bin

And after confirming that it had changed, what did you do next?

I reinserted the SD card, powered everything back on, and clicked check board status.

Try flashing with a different sd card, the spiders have multiple different bootloaders it’s kind of the wild west

I ended up using a spare Octopus V1.1 board instead. The particular printer will be a Voron V2.4 configuration. In the documentation it states to put the 4th Z stepper driver to the left of the "LEFT Z" driver. Would you happen to know if this 4th driver would be to the left or right rear motor?
