Underextruding very badly since upgrading to RatOS 2.0
I've got a v-core 3.1 with an LGX Lite and Rapido UHT that I just upgraded to RatOS 2. Since upgrading I'm underextruding by a large amount (asked for 100mm, extruded ~40mm). I tried reverting back to RatOS 1.x (it was on a different SD card), and I'm not underextruding at all. I confirmed that the settings for the LGX Lite are the same. What else can I check?

Also worth noting that the extruder wasn't skipping at all when running RatOS 2 (no clicking noises) and the speed of extrusion didn't make a difference.
please post your printer.cfg

When you're testing 100mm extrusion, try entering
M83
in the console first.
config looks correctfascinating-indigo•16mo ago
That's how I was testing it
Can you paste the command you used?

I was following the Ellis guide:
M83 ; E relative
G1 E1 F60 ; Extrude 1mm at 1mm/s (60mm/min)
Yeah that won't extrude 100mm, that would extrude 1mm
Need to confirm everything here, because the config isn't the issue, so either your testing is flawed or you're having mechanical issues.
Mechanical issues are weird since you say it works if you revert to RatOS v1
(which doesn't make any sense)

yeah, doesn't make sense to me, either
I just copied the command over from the ellis guide. I was requesting 100mm, not 1mm
M83 ; E relative
G1 E100 F60 ; Extrude 1mm at 1mm/s (60mm/min)
Not sure then. I'm running an LGX Lite + Rapido myself. All works as intended.

ok, let me pull the extruder to remove the hot end from the equation and see what I get
without the hot end, I'm getting ~90mm instead of 100mm. Much better results.

I’m starting to think this might be a hardware problem

Changed filament and the problem went away.
