Recommendations for everyday shoes?
My last pair was ultraboosts. I don't need another pair, if people think alternatives would be nicer.

easy swap out to something more on trend around here would be something like New Balance 574 or a 99x
i really like the Nike General Purpose Shoe that they did with Tom Sachs, but idk if those are readily available or if you'd have to find them secondhand
agreed on some new balance 99x. I love my 993s
obviously pick a colorway to your preference
They’re at different stages of the hype cycle but new balance 550s and adidas sambas are both solid shoes for beating up and walking around
only problem is the leather on the regular 550s is so cheap feeling
the ALD collab has much nicer leather. wasn't expecting that when I got mine
They also carry the implication that you fw Tom Sachs
I love my GATs as everyday shoes but coming from ultra boosts they’re gonna be uncomfortable
yea i thought about recommending something there, but figured a runner style would be an easier 1:1 swap

I am, but they're much less like a running shoe than traditional runners.
Just looking for a shoe I can wear around. But I definitely don't want suede, or a shoe that looks like I belong on a treadmill

sambas and vans probably round out the list

I'll go to the store and see if sambas work, they would look good without the suede

chuck lows are easy daily drivers. but again, waaay less comfy than your UBs
If you go for a 70 they’re at least a little comfortable
chuck 70s would be the one to get for sure

i just buy my chucks for $10 at the thrift store

Thoughts on all white Stan smith's? I know there are different versions of varying quality, but I don't know which is which
stan smiths are "fine"

i like those reeboks better
i think the new ones have had leather issues. but i haven't really looked for a white leather sneaker in a while...
more visually interesting while still being super easy to incorporate in any outfit

the gold standard white leather sneaker is common projects, but i've been trying to stay out of that price range

the problem is lifestyle runners are almost all gonna have suede, and if theyre not a lifestyle runner they're gonna be too runnery
So your choice seems to be leather or canvas.

I love sam smiths, sambas, gazelles, but they are not even close to ultraboosts in comfort for walking any sort of distance
