chore coat with Short sizing?
Looking to get my first chore coat and finding it hard to get one with short sizing. Seems hard to find and most I've found have functional buttons so shortening the sleeves is expensive

I think of chore coats as functional items that look good when they fit imprecisely or with the sleeves rolled up, but I hear you
I love my work jacket from carrier https://www.carriercompany.co.uk/collections/mens/products/copy-of-norfolk-work-jacket?variant=39582771347509

Classic and elegant, these utilitarian 100% cotton drill men's work jackets only improve with age.
It fits a little cropped and boxy, with shorter sleeves
this is nice, thanks for sharing. Can I ask what size you got and your height/weight?
You might also check asket. They do lots of sizes and lengths
I have a medium and am 5’10 165
Nice thanks. Looks like Asket Medium Short fits but sleeves would be maybe an inch too big. Did you guys say I can just roll the sleeves on these and it still looks OK? Asked has that button that makes shortening the sleeves expensive because it has to be done at the shoulder
I think I also found a banana republic factory one that has no button and actually looks good. I know quality is questionable though but it's only 80$
You could shop vintage online and check length measurements against the length you prefer?
The vintage ones all seem to be shorter-sleeved. Shorter sleeves stay clear of your work more easily, it makes sense
Where would I look for those?
Search french chore coat on ebay you will find loads of them
usually in navy
depends if you wanted something newer or are happy to go with a used vintage one
