everyone Heyo I have decided it is time
@everyone Heyo, I have decided it is time to enable you contacting your users π . So we are designing a way for you to send an email to users of one or more of your Actors. Any features that you would consider a must have in this system? Any (really easy) features you would consider a nice to have? Thread me!

Ability to restart trial (especially if users couldn't try the actor due to issues during trial period)

Thank you! We can do that as admins so if you have somebody like that dont hesitate to ping us, but not planning that as a feature for devs just yet.
1) Ability to publish actor without displaying it in regular Store, (hidden list, only available for customer who have platform subscription), This will encourage visitor to have subscribe to the Platform, does this make sense
2) Abillity to have actor custom Categories, other than what have default provided in actor settings page (eg: Video, Audio, Social Network, Downloader, etc.)
3) Ability to give a specific User a discount on specific time period. example: discount 20% for 1 Month on independent days or christmas
4) On Store page, ability to filter actors by Free/Pay version
5) On Store page, I dont know how you sort actors by "popularity", also add sort by "raising popularity" (actor subscribers increased, or more access, compare to last month / week)
6) Ability for User to give actor reviews and rating (1-5 stars), based on their experience using the actor. Also this make possible to sort actors by user rating (on Store page). Also for a developer, separate reviews and rating (on developer profile page)

Well, this doesnt really have anything to do with the emails! But it is valuable feedback and I am definitely sharing it with the team! Thank you!

I think in terms of emails it would be good if there was a way for developers to add as part of the actor.json (or as a new file under the .actor folder) a checklist of different options as to what users want to recieve emails on. For example, with this system I could provide options for users to receive updates on actor status (when the actor stops or starts working), new features, and developer changes (like if the actor is changed in such a way that existing parsing/api code stops working properly). Then in the actor interface as another option, there can be a place to draft messages and select the categories(s) of the email sent. On Apify's end, it can just consider each checkbox as a separate mailing list then check for duplicate emails for each user before sending.

Apify already has a notification system so I think this should follow as general options to configure for each user. Then we would give each dev option to send a message or trigger a release in the changelog, etc.
