exclude certain files from cloud sync?
i just installed Heroic on my Deck, because apparently steam does not support cloud saves for Sleeping Dogs, whereas the GOG version does. i've installed the game onto my Deck via Heroic, and enabled cloud save sync... and, it works, bringing over the save files i've synced from my pc. however, it also brings over a settings file, which contains control and graphical preferences, which i do not want syncing between my pc and my Deck. naturally, i don't want to have to mess with display settings each time i start the game. i see that Heroic allows you to modify the save file directory, but is there some way to explicitly include (or exclude) files for syncing?

DisplaySettings.xml is the file that contains display preferences, and i'd like to be able to exclude that from syncing
i mean, there's no such option (that i've found) in the ui, so i assume it's not a feature... i just figured i'd ask whether there's maybe a hidden or undocumented feature before i open a feature request issue on the project page

it's not possible to exclude files, GOG Galaxy itself doesn't have this feature on windows too

well sure, i know the official client doesn't
but since this is a different client altogether, it's a possibility

that's true, however we were more focused on having feature parity first
so currently it's not possible

i'll submit a feature request, and maybe someday it'll get picked up
thanks!
in the meantime, for this specific game, i'll see whether i can set each device's DisplaySettings.xml to read-only... maybe that'll prevent the cloud sync download operation from overwriting the local file with whatever's stored in gog cloud

this may also crash the sync process, be careful

of course

that would be great

i'll just have to experiment
