Chino Hemming

I just bought a pair of chinos that came unhemmed, and have a couple questions on what to do. I have a pair of Goodfellow(target) chinos that say 30" inseam and fit well. However, I just measured them and they're really like 29" and a bit extra, is that because of the extra material that is folded up and sewn? Also, is it just a plain hem that I should ask for?

Yeah, the inseam claimed on a spec sheet and the inseam measured in real life often differ. Don't tell your tailor/alterationist "30 inch inseam," rather, go over there, put the pants on, and have it pinned up to the correct place, whatever that number happens to be is mostly useful as guidance for the future.
