Which briefcase should I get?

I am in the market for a leather briefcase for work and casual purposes. I am between the 2 briefcases linked. One has a zipper top and 2 handles another has a flap top with a single handle. I prefer the aesthetics of the latter, but it is also quite a bit heavier. I am wondering if people have any advice over which would be more practical. https://frankcleggleatherworks.com/zip-top-briefcase.html https://frankcleggleatherworks.com/the-wall-street-briefcase.html

Can’t really say anything about the second one, but I have the same zip top one from Frank Clegg. I used it last year for school and I have no complaints about it. Sturdy construction, good quality and can fit a lot of stuff besides thicker binders and textbooks. For me, when I carried it for a longer period of time with a lot packed in it, the heaviness was definitely noticeable. Don’t know if I would go heavier than that

Thanks for the information. How many gussets does yours have?

Ah, that is what I am looking for. Does it have a laptop sleeve?

I put my laptop in like the outside pocket

Oh it fits on the outside pocket? That's interesting. How wide is your laptop? Does it not have an interior laptop sleeve? Sorry for asking a lot of questions; I want to ensure the briefcase is right for me before dropping $1.5k.

My laptop’s a little over 12.5”. There’s not really a dedicated interior laptop sleeve? I guess you could try putting your laptop on the inside in like one of the gussets, but I just put it in the outside compartment for easy access. Yeah np, it’s a lot of money lol

Does it fit comfortably in there? My laptop is just over 13".
