I don't know where it does, but if you use Decky then there is a plugin where you can specify the artwork for any title, including externally added

SteamGridDB is still one of the best Decky plugins to use when you have games from outside of Steam like from Lutris + Heroic

It's really random , grim dawn and cyberpunk have artwork, vaporum, legend of grimrock and hostile waters do not
