Rocket league no display.

Rocket league launches, then heroic games launcher freezes. I can hear rocket league in the background and the log seems fine. I have to

pkill RocketLeague

pkill RocketLeague

and heroic becomes unfrozen. I am on Gentoo and I am guessing this is sort of bug with heroic games launcher that may be gentoo-specific.
