Snow Peak
Autumn Winter 2023 Lookbook
This season, we will be showing a collection of Snow Peak styles designed with an eco-conscious mind. Many of our signature pieces have been refined for a more classic design, creating a modular collection that can be worn with various Snow Peak classics.
This collection is the first where we have used GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER®, a revolutionary fabr...

Like the brand, more interesting than Nanamica, more affordable than White Mountaineering
Yeah Snow Peak is nice. I got a 2L Octa jacket from last year that I'm looking forward to breaking out when fall really hits here. it is very simple but has some really nice design details and is very functional as well. This new lookbook looks great!
Fuzzy vest is v fun

Big coats (with a big pocket) are also nice

Just noticed the mixed pattern on the dark big coat
snow peak is great, love their stuff
Only stumbled across this brand very recently. Very tempted by this jacket

I have a titanium pot and pan from them in my backpacking kit. I had no idea they also made clothes
I have a Rapha X Snow Peak 3d printed titanium spork because it's really fucking stupid and only weights like 9g.
One day I will figure out to style these jackets as a lanky white dude
When you start shrinking, Which can't be far away.
Im over 40, any day now!
seeing my breath on my morning dog walk reminded me to bring in my down parka to have a seam repaired. hopefully i won't need it for awhile though
now im wondering which came first

I have a camping stove from them. It's pretty damn good
i feel like it’s gotta be their gear because i used to see snow peak stuff at REI nearly a decade ago. snow peak boiler, pots and pans

Yeah their apparel line only started out in 2014
I kind of want this https://www.snowpeak.com/collections/new-arrivals/products/jk-23au117-uccp-quilting-jacket

the snow peak store in outdoor village, tokyo, is beautiful. i felt so fucking poor. lol.
wasnt snowpeak the major player in making gorpcore a thing?
I land most of the blame on Arcteryx and Patagonia tbh
oh, if you like snow peak, Comfy Outdoor Garments make some neat gorp/city boy style stuff as well
I don't think I've seen anyone wear Snowpeak here in Chicago
maybe it's different in the PNW
Lots of Arc
Patagonia, CG
It’s hard to tell I think? I live in Tokyo and I have no clue 🤣
how much did that cost lmao
oh nice
yeah snowpeak doesn't have a strong fashion presence here
£13
Bought my first snow peak piece. Short review on it; Used FR 2L Down Jacket in forest green for 100€, basically in unworn condition. Retail was 640€ according to tags. Can't find any wear after a wash and 2 hours in dryer to dry the damn thing. I can't complain too much after buying it for this price, but if I had paid the retail price I'd have bit mixed feelings, as there's no mention of the source of down nor fabric, and its made in Vietnam. Their japanese pricing is admittedly quite a bit more reasonable IIRC. On the other hand it does feel like its built like a tank. Fabric is burly, and there's plenty of down. Hood creates a warm collar that should not let in too much cold air. As for fit, the arms are maybe bit short. All in all I'm still pretty happy with it, and can't wait to test it next winter. Thanks for reading my blog.

100 bucks for a good down jacket is an absolute steal
ha, for sure. 😄 making low ball offers on barely used winter gear has been working out well for me during the last month. Tasty pair of almost unused paraboot avoriaz for sale nearby too...
Finally getting around to wearing my herringbone shirt - the texture is crazy (although my photography skills are not)

Does anyone here actually use snow peak gear for camping? I was actually at Snow Peak Way East recently, and have been collecting SP gear for a bit. Tent, igt, etc etc. Got some cool snow peak stuff from the event though like a t shirt we shibori dyed, a tote bag, cup, spork, etc
Significantly more interested in their gear than their attire, personally. I have some of their clothes and they're nice, but not worth the price at retail in my opinion. Their gear on the other hand is the real deal
I'm still waiting on a good deal for their Luxury Low Beach Chair

I have a blanket I use to stay warm in the park, thats basically camping right?
This site has some cool archives of older snow peak gear, including digital catalogs from decades ago before they made any apparel

Korogi
An archive of Snow Peak and Japanese camping equipment, field camping gear and accessories plus vintage, rare and hard to find Snow Peak pieces.
My friend recently put me on to designer Bill Moss as well, who clearly inspired many of the designs for snow peak tents and tarps. Also might partially explain why snow peak (supposedly?) doesn't copyright their gear designs. I had always been told it was because they had enough confidence in their QA that they knew folks would buy it regardless of whether there were lookalikes available

Some fun photos from snow peak way east this year I just saw from their blog.
Some photos of my friends and I are in there, and our camp setup is in the top left of the banner where we were doing hot pot at the time

Some photos from the kyoto store. They had some exclusive items made by local crafts folks as well

Man thats pretty
That is the cutest shop I've ever seen

Have either of you guys tried these?
@Robertoh
I've not tried them on but I've felt/interacted with them in person
What do you want to know about them?
How does Snow Peak size generally? And thoughts when you saw them in person?
I would use their size guide for sure and compare measurements to a pair of jeans you own. I think in general snow peak is tts to a hair small
If you buy anywhere other than snow peak sometimes their stuff will have both a US and JP size on the same tag as well fyi so be sure to know which one they are talking about
They were decently nice - the pricing is in an odd spot tbh. Usually for good selvedge jeans you're looking at $200+
The denim itself is nice, cuts look fine, but not really special in either department if that makes sense
Good if you want a nice pair of pretty regular denim in a straight to relaxed cut
I don't think I've seen these sizing before
I get 35% off which helps the why behind the order
Yeah open up the size guide on each item then
It will have item measurements
35% off is good and makes it make more sense to pick these up imo

I do
Is the waist size for this double?
Like a small would be a 29.2" waist?
Measure vs pants you have - it is flat across the waist of the pants
Yes in theory you double these
Okay that's what I figured

I'm a 27-28" ish waist
Thank you!
I'll do this with my best fitting pair
Do this with a pair of pants that fit you well
I was given 2k CAD to get clothes as I'm becoming a teacher and just after moving from my previous career I don't have many fashionable clothes
Putting an effort into looking good, even on casual days
That's great!
These will be fairly easy to wear with a lot
I would encourage you to look through things like #waywt to pick out styles you like, take your time in buying things, and make threads in #questions-and-advice for help on item recommendations, putting pieces together, general advice, feedback etc
That is very good advice, I was also planning to take pictures and catalogue what I have
See what I can do with the pieces I have
That's great as well
But I literally don't own a collared shirt haha
Ha maybe one or two would be good to have in general
But yeah lots of folks will go out and spend a lot in one go and then realize that it maybe isn't their style and regret purchases
Take your time
Jeans and a plain white t-shirt has been 90% all I wear for the past few years
So branching out of that will be nice
I think there are a few teachers who post their fits in here too fyi
