Blazer Fit

Found this PRL tweed blazer secondhand, in (what I believe is) my size, 36R. Observations: - Feels a bit tight around the midsection, esp when buttoned (hence the visible pulling) - this worsens if I lean forward in any way. - Armholes seem big. Let me know your observations / if other pictures would be helpful. Maybe I need to size up, though I'd think the shoulders might then be too wide... anyway, thanks!

Shoulders look ok to me. Check the back and side seam allowance, you might have enough to let it out at the waist.

Probably (maybe) tightness could be fixed by letting the jacket out by an inch or two if possible. How tight is it? rest of the fit looks good-- lifting your arms is probably becuase they used foam pads instead of fabric when building the shoulders

Standing/walking feels pretty good and relaxed everywhere except the midsection where you see the fabric pulling a bit – not painfully tight, just a bit restrictive in that area

Seams can be let out if there's an allowance and worst case you can get a cm or so from moving the button.

Big armholes are standard. If you like the jacket, you just live with the armholes. It feels like your shirts are a tad long though. For more feedback: both sides and back are necessary.
Spaaaaaaaaaaaace
I really hate how big armholes are standard

nice looking jacket. I'd take it to your tailor and see if they can let the waist out a touch, hopefully that will fix the tight feeling and the button pulling posting your whole outfit including shoes will help judge whether the jacket is too long or not

Yeah the waist being let out a bit should fix front pulling and also close (or mostly close) the open rear vent on the rear I'm not totally stoked on the upper arms from the side view... likely just because the armhole is too big, the sleeve is also too big. Can't really be fixed / not worth doing, so rock it. If you plan to wear it with (eg) a sweater in the winter, put that on too so your tailor knows how much to let out the waist. IMO/IME a little extra waist is fine on a tweed coat, better the "a little bigger than perfect" than "a little tighter than perfect" for waist fit. Perfect is perfect as long as you don't put on a thicker underlayer of sweater or calories ;)
