Finding a similar fabric/pattern/color for a suit

anyone know if it's possible to find this fabric/pattern/color altogether on another suit, or something similar? if not, i'll have to take my chances and buy this from indochino 😰

I’m not familiar with any alternatives, but pls pls pls don’t buy indochino. It’s become a meme how terrible they are

I think they sell RTW which is a lot less risky but I wouldn't recommend them for quality or style. That guy looks like the suit is painted on, it's so slim I also suggest that cloth is for a sport coat, is a bit much for a suit Now to answer your question with another question. Do they say who makes that cloth? VBC for example? They have their bunches online in some capacity, and you can trawl through them. Of course it can be hard finding a specific cloth on RTW stuff but it's possible. You can reach out straight to the mill and ask who they're selling to ...

alright i was looking up similar suits out of curiosity, because I've seen this request come up often enough here alone that it's clearly a popular style of suit among folks who are perhaps less acquainted with traditional tailoring... I've certainly seen men pull off an outrageous suit pattern so it's not impossible that there's something of decent quality but also google sure is just giving me results that look like this:

Do you have a budget? Is it for an event? (this may not help with finding fabric per se, but... seems pertinent?)

Like everyone said, don’t go with Indochino. If you’re getting the suit made, find a reputable tailor and they will be able to source the same or similar fabric for you.

I don’t understand the premise here. New fabrics are available all the time from various mills. What’s the pressure that would force you to buy from indochino? What’s your budget? What do you desperately need a purple windowpane suit for?

I imagine the premise is that OP saw this suit and it spoke to him. I'd urge caution, and time for tempering. What pops today might make you think "meh" in a month, and there is no real scarcity, so if it's an "interesting" suit you should really think about it for a while. Like when I decided to do a single-breasted peak-lapel ivory jacket, rather than shawl, I sat on that decision for like two months before going ahead with it.

Yes for a tux. Though it's possible to break it apart, at least in theory. It's still in progress being made. I'm kinda thinking my tailor forgot about me because I told him no hurry as long as it's done by mid December :P but I'll ask for an update soon. But I don't wanna derail the thread haha my bad
