Any other fake* climbing enthusiasts? Love all my Gramicci pants equally but I just spotted these Voyager pants on their IG and realized they're technically women's pants. Anyone try any Gramicci Ws? Mostly just worried about the rise based on measurements. END has it at a 9.5" rise, Gramicci's site has it at 11-12" for L/XL. They look really similar to the Gadget Pant but without the wraparound pockets.

I'm kinda considering selling all my pants and just getting the g pants to fill in that straight leg part of my wardrobe. Just fits so good.
Id be worried about inseam for the gadget pants since for the men's it's already pretty short iirc

Yeah I like the details a lot. XL is listed as a 32 but Gramicci tends to stretch a looooot.

Sizing up some is reasonable if you want a wider fit so I’d say it’s flexible. Best to try in person ofc. I only went for the XL bc it was the last size in store lol

Thats what i recommend to people. With their belted pants sizing is really just about how wide you want them to fit

My loose taper cords are some of my absolute favorite. But the 26 inseam makes them not super wearable for me

My issue with cotton for outdoors mainly isn't durability but how they wear when you sweat or get wet

More than you'd think haha. I'm going to hopefully take out my lil boat before the winter starts (finally received the paperwork last week so I was able to get it registered) which requires me to wade in the water a lil when launching it, and when I go hiking in my school's nature preserve when I go back to school next semester, it's frequently extremely muddy

Pants arrived. Love the width, maybe a bit too long because I'm 5'6" in an XL but hopefully they're good length for pooling. Won't be able to take a proper pic until tomorrow so we'll see.

They’re kind of the perfect weight imo, depends on where you live for the summer but since they’re cotton I find them pretty wearable year round
The shorts are long for sure compared to other brands. Personally I like the length but I’m 6’ tall
Definitely a thick, substantial fabric but wouldn’t look weird or out of season in the summer

I'd say go for what you usually go with but US size. I'm usually a small everywhere US-S fit me like expected. I sized up to M bc i wanted it a big baggier

inseam is listed at 10" on both the L and XL. They have a lotta give but I would just go XL honestly.
(I'm a 35 and usually wear L in G pants though so L would probably be fine)
I've got gshorts in Xs, s and m and they all "fit". I'm definitely in the wear as big as you can get away with camp.

ya basically how loose do you want the legs and how long you want the belt to be. waist size is a social construct with most gramicci
don't forget that with them having JP and non-JP sizing on the label a L is also an XL lol
weird in my case i actually felt like the XL was just too big even with the belt
but i didn't play around with it too much. it was obvious to me the L felt better

i would say they're the platonic ideal of a "midweight cotton"
i find them perfect for year round wear but if you live in fLoRiDa or tExAs you might have trouble. but that's probably all pants
they make some linen/cotton versions (or have made in the past) that would be more of a dedicated S/S pant

drop your phone or your keys in there and forget that they're in your pocket

What don’t you like about the shell shorts
The material. Mine are the multi-coloured ones and the lighter material marks with the smallest fleck of moisture. Basically always makes it look like you pissed yourself.
Like when I wear them and I wash my hands or drink from a bottle with condensation I gotta keep them away or it leaves a spot.
I basically use 'em as swim shorts now
does anybody have experience dying these pants? a pen exploded on my fave pair, which are basically daily-wears for me, and I've been evaluating dying them black for a whiel now

Yea I’ve dyed a couple of pairs now. If they’re the cotton ones it’s an easy job, rit back to black kit will do the job. Might need to do more than one dye bath to get a real black, often you’ll keep some undertones of the original color. Biggest thing to watch for is the stitching, it’s usually a synthetic and won’t dye so you’ll end up with some contrast stitching.
You can fit a 13” MacBook in the Gadget shorts pocket. Just in case you were wondering.
