What determines which years show in the timeline?
As you can see in this screenshot, these pics are from 2009, yet I don't see the year 2009 in the time line.
In fact, my collection goes back to 1998, yet I don't see anything prior to 2012 in the timeline area.
To be clear, all the photos are in the library, I can scroll to them all, but I am trying to understand why all the years are not labelled in the time line on the right of the page.

Ah there is a logic we put in depends on the height of the dots in between to show the year
there has been some confusion and I am thinking of omitting that to show all the year
Thanks Alex, yas I thought I had seen all years earlier, all years is prefered thanks!
For what it's worth, I also prefer to show all the years. The gaps look a bit odd in my library.
or maybe an option in settings show in timeline: ( ) All years | ( .) Every N years <-- (where N is variable the user can set)
