Hello,
I installed the Evil Within, but nothing happens when launching it. I tried another EGS game (Into the breach) and no problem launching it.

You should have gotten a browser page opens up for that game in EGS most likely
But you won't get it if you directly added Heroic itself to Steam or if you were on gaming mode.

I just add the game in steam from Heroic Launcher .. and now is shoW me in steam " Evil Within 2" not first one ... my problem is can't launch evil within first in Heroic Launcher. Tks

the query to get the image is probably matching the wrong game, but it should be the first game (I think you can edit the image of the game in steam to fix it)
I think some people have reported the game doesn't work in gaming mode, that only works in desktop mode, can you confirm the game runs in desktop mode? also make sure to use Heroic 2.9.2

if the game tries to open a web browser every time you launch it then I doubt there's a way to play it in game mode since that doesn't work in game mode
if the game only does that the first time, you should be able to run the game once in desktop mode to have the browser show up and then use it in game mode after that
the game is not starting in desktop mode from heroic, until that's fixed don't bother testing with steam
after you add a game to steam from heroic you have to restart steam
you have to share the game logs when it fails to start in desktop mode from heroic, click the

Try using Wine-GE-Proton8-20, you can install it using the Wine Manager in heroic, then set that in the game's settings
if it still doesn't work share a new log

you never get the browser popping up to authorize the epic access?
if you don't get that, try changing your system's browser to firefox for example, if it still doesn't show up try installing ie8 in the game prefix using winetricks

Some games require you to connect the game to your epic account this pops up a browser window for you to verify the connection.
It would do this even in egs on windows

maybe try installing the game on another computer so you can authorize the epic access and then it won't need that on the steam deck? not sure what else to try

I would also try steam os preview/beta
The default steam os uses super old packages
Way Older than debian stable, slightly newer than debian 11 tbh
It really hurts the deck's performance

so after that working in the desktop it's still not working on the deck? cause I tested the game yesterday on my deck and it works fine in both desktop and game mode (I authorized epic earlier on my desktop computer)

Steam support isn't going to help you with non-Steam stuff
although not your exact operating environment, I also ran this on my Deck last night (but running Bazzite as my OS). authorized on my Deck via Chrome

the game should work out of the box, steam won't do anything, it's not their fault
I would try what OOOOF suggested of using steam os beta or maybe reset the system to fabric defaults since it should work out of the box

After the reset of the deck if I connect an external hard drive with all saved games, it will be auto mounted and I can play normally or I'll lose every game I saved in it?
A reset will only affect your Deck's internal drive. You might want to keep the external drive disconnected while resetting though

do you have the game installed on an extrenal SSD card? maybe you can try installing it in the internal drive and see if that makes any difference if you have enough space

Yes it is on the SD card, unfortunately I don't have enough space in the internal storage (64 GB model). Anyway thank you for all your help, I hope it will be solved in the future.

I experienced a bug similar to this before. try enabling all files in Flatseal
look about 4 lines up from where you took the photo
then restart Heroic
