I don't know. All I know is that with Hardware Trim turned on, the MD500E (and the Cabri G2) respond as I would expect given my S300 and short MD500 RL experience, over a decade ago. I think that if you get it right for the G2, the other similarly equipped helis will follow along. (AFAIK all three of those have cyclic-mounted trim hats.)
I have the 500E and 530F payware helis. They are quite similar, and are both are loads of fun to fly. Much twitchier than the 407 or G2, but therefore more fun to do "canyon carving" in. And, beyond the extremely lame omission of turbine fuel control axis bindings in MSFS (you have to use the mouse), they start up/shut down just as I would expect. But it irritates the s888 out of me that I can't use my Virpil twist fuel control to manage startup, in either of the 5xx helis, or any other turbine heli.
