DCS providers a broad portfolio of innovative silicon, board level and software solutions that are deployed in data centers and mission critical systems across the globe to . DCS products provide an anchor for Total System Solutions (TSS) for the Data Center market that incorporate a broad set of products from the Microchip portfolio.
In this role, you will have cross-department responsibility to collaborate with product line managers, product marketing managers and business operations team to lead driving and improving DCS business processes to position the marketing organization for the next level of scale which may require recommending and implementing new processes.
The Successful Candidate Will Have a Product Marketing Or Product Management Background For Silicon-based Solutions And a Track Record Of Navigating Product Lines Through Phases Of Growth And Change Successfully. The Successful Candidate Is Expected To Have Experience And Proficiency In The Following Areas
Supervisor and mentor to other product marketing personnel
Business operations and management experience which include understanding current state of the business, revenue and margin trends, forecasting, pricing.
Product positioning and understanding target customers, use cases and competitive landscape.
Product launches including pre and post launch activities
Collaboration, working across the business unit and corporate functions to support growth goals.
Ability to learn fast, understand the big picture, and synthesize information from multiple sources.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority.
Requirements/Qualifications
Preferred qualifications
Master or a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management/Marketing, or Computer Science (or equivalent); MBA preferred, but not required.
15 + years of total experience
10+ years in the computer / high tech field
5+ years in a role that interfaces with external stake holders like customers or partners.
Understanding of market research and data analysis, Demonstrable strategic thinking abilities
Familiar with data center and cloud services infrastructure deployment models
Strong Program Management skills, attention to detail, and organization to coordinate a variety of stakeholders
Demonstrated written, verbal, and presentation skills
Leadership capability, strong interpersonal communications, and ability to task manage
Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
Organizational and leadership skills
Excellent communication skills
