Linen Knitwear retailers?
Anyone know of a good online retailer for linen knitwear? I'm trying to find a solid ribbed or square-knit mock neck long sleeve basic piece for layering. I'm going to use it primarily as a base\bottom layer and I want the coolness, wicking and durability of linen but the visual texture of a knit piece (which should also prevent wrinkling). I know I'll probably have to compromise on a cotton or viscose piece but I haven't given up quite yet.

I suppose I should add USA for shipping and a price point, but at this point I will be flabbergasted if the piece I want exists for sale at all besides a made to order piece
Something like this: https://nomanwalksalone.com/collections/inis-meain/products/crewneck-sweater-in-gorse-donegal-tobacco-brown-linen ? A specific budget and an example of the style you're looking for would help 🙂
i would also recommend inis meain. i bought one of their linen knits a couple months ago, and it's been fantastic
Little higher neck than that would be nice, and slightly tighter. Essentially this silhouette but with a knit and in linen: https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E463164-000/00?colorDisplayCode=08&sizeDisplayCode=003
ah, so something like a roll neck maybe
That brand is a good find, I'll poke around! I'd spend a couple hundred if I find something I adore
Not quite as high as a roll neck though, I really like the intermediate height of a quarter zip (without the zip ofc)
Let me find another good example
Like this height of a neck, higher than crew but not full turtle: https://www.landsend.com/products/mens-super-soft-supima-mock-turtleneck/id_259720?attributes=8135,43307,43322,43381,44074,44255,44967
i'm genuinely having a tough time finding something purely in linen with a specific neck like that. there might be something like a cotton blend that could fit
Linen is going to be hard to knit in a low enough gauge/tight enough pattern to make a neck like that I suspect. You might be better off with a merino blend for those specific requirements.
Yea I thought so, guess I'll find a cotton one for cheap
Thanks for looking though!
If you do know of a good cotton blend for <100 lmk though, it'd save me some time
not off the top of my head honestly, sorry
Nw!
