As we can see in the Tesla documentation of the newly published Roadster boards, the automotive industry is not so innovative. Those boards are rather conservative. Or, in better words, there are innovative computer-like devices in those vehicles, but those devices stand on the shoulders of boring and an old-school and conservatively designed platform.
