Cardigan

Where could I buy a cardigan similar to (or exactly the same) as this? I’d want to go in the more affordable range (80-100USD) but if it exceeds that it’s fine.

At that price point I’d try Cos, Everlane, or Uniqlo and look for something similar.

Honestly whatever the picture I sent was. Think it’s wool? Not entire sure Is there anything similar to this in a slightly darker color? Looked around and didn’t find much but I haven’t searched around much for this stuff before so I’m sure I don’t know all the search times and all

Are you open to secondhand?
Erik

Doesn’t sound too bad as long as it’s in decent condition

Shawl collar cardigan is what you’re looking for. Ideally wool, lambswool second hand in your price range might work. Lambswool is harder wearing so probably in better condition second hand. Same with wool nylon mixes where it’s a high percentage of wool, a little bit of nylon adds a ton of durability.

What brands do you recommend searching for for secondhand in that price range?

I’m okay with going 150 Just don’t want to go too far over the 150 mark

You can search for any brand and just wait for the perfect one to fall on your window. J crew and the like you’ll find fast but William lockie, Colhays, northern watters, you might get lucky eventually

Jamieson's sells a shawl collar with a leather patch on the elbows

That detail is too preppy for me but not sure how you feel about it. It's almost in your price range and would be on sale I see more grey j crew ones on eBay including new

I’ll probably end up buying something from ll bean

I forgot about them I doubt they're worse quality than j crew

Doubt Macy's is a good spot for a decent knit unless ur forking over at the PRL section Could find PRL in the clearance rack if you're lucky

This seller sells leftover new stuff from his store in the UK. This one is out of your price range but I'd keep an eye out for one without the cashmere which prob would be in your price range

Not many cardigans there

I'd check thrift shops and tj maxx/Marshalls Beyond that, eBay. Anything made in scotland or Ireland should be good. Otherwise, new from j crew or ll bean or spier I asked Derek Guy because I was curious myself and this is what he said: "I like Scott & Charters, William Lockie, and The Armoury. Cordings also seems to sell affordable ones, although I don't have any experience with their version.  For second hand, almost anything made in Scotland will be good." Some good additional brands to look for to add to what @Elvander listed. Everything I saw so far on eBay was pricey but as he said you could get lucky
