so i'll need the horsehair brush for general maitenance and polish, and one more application brush (like a small kiwi one) for like cleaner or conditioner?
I just apply Bick4 with an old t-shirt then brush it off.
gonna get nordstrom shoe trees, saphir wax polish, bick 4, and lexol btw
yeah you don't need a brush for cleaner/conditioner, rag or cloth works fine

I think lexol sell both cleaner and conditioner
IIRC bick 4 is both in one, lexol has both a cleaner and a conditioner as separate products (usually sold together)
When i started the gyw shoes boots thing, i found bick4 for conditioner as the most neutral
Even when i walked in snow, all i did was brush brush away
Then apply bick4

maybe i'll get the allen edmonds cream polish, it's the half the price as saphir

wait they have a cream polish but i didn't account for the size. the saphir isn't more expensive actually
$10 for 1.5 oz for allen edmonds, $27 for 3.38 ounces for saphir. saphir is only a lil more expensive

The more u brush the nicer it looks
I only use polish on dress shoes and maybe once a year if that.

ok so my plan now is to get a horsehair brush (prob allen edmonds), bick 4 and nordstrom shoe trees
i have hand me down shoe trees from my dad but they're sitting in my cheap dress shoes i wore for internships
TLDR: basically any horsehair brush will do. I like Bick 4 as a conditioner. One bottle will last a lifetime really. I like shoe trees as well but some folks like the toe spring and wear on casual shoes
