That is most definitely not a Wineprefix folder
It is set automatically, unless you change it

Hm, I take it that's not the default directory either
There should be a "Prefixes" directory somewhere in your user folder. On Linux it is at
/home/$USER/Games/Heroic/Prefixes, so maybe check if /Users/nathang/Games/Heroic/Prefixes exists?

oh interesting, in Heroic there is both the Prefixes and a folder called 'rocketleague'
and in Prefixes is default, and in there is a folder called 'Rocket League'?
Well, you can use either one there. Just delete the actual directory after selecting it in Heroic (so it's re-created with just this one wine version)

vkd3d-proton should now be off by default you are good
and there's no ui option to enable it on mac os anyway

then I made a change that forced you to have dxvk enabled for vkd3d-proton
this would then break mac os since you can't actually turn vkd3d-proton off
so then I made another change that turns vkd3d-proton off by default on mac os, but it requires you to reset heroic
so yeah lesson learned, write good defaults the first time around

Make sure to delete your Wineprefix directory again before starting the game with GPTK selected

macOS Sonoma should be used. You can download the pkg installer from Mr Macintosh blog.
macOS Ventura causes large numbers of issues with steamwebhelper.exe crashing so it isn't recommended, use the macOS Sonoma beta.
